Our History
1989

The Beginning… the idea to reclaim the original quarries as a golf course was born.

1992

The Developer… Quarry Hills Associates was selected as the developer of 540-acre parcel of land, located in the city of Quincy and town of Milton - the site of former landfills and quarries.

1997

The Fill… Quarry Hills Associates was selected to remove excavated fill and soils from Boston's Big Dig project. Over the next six years, 13 million tons would be received at the project site.

2000

The Architect… Golf Course architect, John Sanford, was selected to design Quarry Hills course.

2003

The First Nine… The first nine holes, Milton 9, was completed and made available for play after capping the landfills and filling select quarries.

2004

The Second Nine & First Award… The second nine holes, Granite 9, was completed and made available for play. That same year, Golf Digest named Granite Links "Top Ten Best New Upscale Golf Course in the Country".

2005

The First Tournament… Granite Links hosted BJ's Charity Championship, LPGA Legends Tour.

2006

The Clubhouse and The Final Nine… The Clubhouse building was completed and the final nine holes, Quincy 9, was completed and made available for play.

2009

The Top 100… Granite Links was named to Golf Digest List of "100 Greatest Public Courses in America".
