Tavern at Granite Links

Despite its non-descript name, the restaurant at the Granite Links golf course in Quincy is phenomenal. I headed down there earlier today to meet up with friends after they played a round of golf and was pleasantly surprised. Sitting high atop a hill on the Quincy quarries the tavern has an amazing view of Boston and one I hadn't seen before.

The service was great and the food was even better. We sat on the patio just as the sun went down and although we were being visited by the mosquitoes, the hostess came out with bug spray shortly after. I highly recommend the scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer, the scallops were huge and delicious. Each of us had very different dinners which all seemed well portioned and tasty, especially the grilled buffalo chicken pizza which arrived on a cutting board with a side of blue cheese. I am not often impressed with country club food, but this is well worth the trip to eat.

If golf is your game, I am told that the twilight special(any round started after 3 on weekdays or weekends is $65). A great way to get to play a new course and then stay for dinner/drinks after!
